My Medium
I am a painter at heart and have always loved Oil Painting. My subject matter has changed over the years greatly. My early work was modern and colorful, when I developed Abstract work and now, I am very intrigued with Landscape
Painting. I have developed into a Watercolorist as well. That began after teaching my first Adult Ed Watercolor course. I find both the Oil and Watercolor mediums to be challenging and exciting at the same time!
My Inspiration
Landscape, Still Life and Abstract images based on Nature themes inspire me most. A good design and a well-planned composition are of utmost importance to me, both in my own work and when I am teaching art. I think of art making as a spiritual experience, I believe the visual arts communicate feelings about our world that words cannot. I am influenced by the work of Matisse, Monet Dega, Sargent, Hassam, and Richard Schmid.

Creating Art has always been a soulful
experience for me.
Teaching others about Art is an opportunity to share the things I have learned and help individuals reach their fullest potential.
I teach classes to Children, Adults and Students with Special Needs.
My goal is to meet each individual where they are artistically and build on skills in the medium of their choice. I currently offer classes in person and online in Drawing and Painting.
I am a NYS certified Art Educator and have been teaching students with special needs for the past 12 years.
I cultivate a warm atmosphere where others can create alone or together sharing ideas and inspiration as they learn and grow as artists.
